Due to COVID19, The Farm Bureua Museum  will not be open during the fair.  All livestock animals will be released Saturday evening and Jr. Fair Horses will be released Sunday at 1pm, except for animal exhibits for agventure.

COVID19 SAFETY PROCEDURES

Your safety is important to us due to COVID19, we will be practicing social distancing, providing many handwashing and sanitizing stations, one way traffic in barns and buildings, frequently sanitizing restrooms, picnic tables, benches and highly touched surfaces, our grandstand shows will be at half capacity and seating and handrails will be sanitized before each show, and our grounds attendance will be at half capacity each day  Our directors, employees and volunteers will be wearing mask unless behind barriers, working by themselves (example in the parking lot) or in extreme heat (then social distancing will take place).   Our vendors will be following the guidelines for Restart Ohio retail and restaurant and our amusement rides will follow guidelines set forth by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. 

All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:

  • At an indoor location that is not a residence
  • Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
  • Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.

The order only requires those 10 years old or older to wear a mask. Additional exclusions include: 

  • Those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability;
  • Those who are actively exercising or playing sports;
  • Those who are officiants at religious services;
  • Those who are actively involved in public safety; or
  • Those who are actively eating or drinking.

 

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID19 exists in any public place where people are present.  COVID19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.  According to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guest with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.  By visiting the Summit County Fairgrounds and the Fair, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID19.
