Prince, Princess, Jr Prince and Jr Princess Contest

MATERIALS DUE BY:  JUNE 13th AT 4:00 P.M.

 

YOU'RE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR THE TITLE OF PRINCE, PRINCESS, JR PRINCE AND PRINCESS IF THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO YOU:

  1. Applicants for Prince and Princess must be 13, 14 or 15 years of age as of January 1 of the current year
  2. Applicants for Jr Prince and Jr Princess must be 10, 11 or 12 years of age as of January 1 of the current year
  3. Applicants must be a member, in good standing, of a youth organization involved in the Summit County 4-H program or an active member of the Summit County Junior Fairboard
  4. Applicants must be involved with 4-H or Junior Fairboard for at least two years which may include the current year
  5. Applicants cannot be applicants for any other "royalty/naming" contest related to or held at the Summit County Fair
  6. Previous years' Prince, Princess, Junior Prince and Junior Princess are NOT eligible to participate in the same division.  For example; the 2007 Junior Princess may not apply for Junior Princess in 2008, however, if she qualifies by age to apply for Princess, she may do so.  Previous years' court members ARE eligible to participate in the same division.
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Complete the Entry Form
  2. Paper clip a photograph of yourself to the entry form
  3. On a separate piece of paper, give a brief outline of yourself, your school, fair and community activities.  Profile shall not be more than one page in length.
  4. Return materials no later than June 13th at 4pm to:  Summit County Fair, PO Box 89, Tallmadge, OH  44278
  5. Entries can either be dropped off in the fair office or mailed.  If you mail your entry, mail it in advance of the deadline date.  Entries must be received in the office by June 13th!
AWARDS:
  • Prince, Princess, Jr Prince and Jr Princess will each receive a $100 Savings Bond and a gift
  • Each individual named to the Court will receive a gift
 * Interviews will be held the week of June 23rd in the Administration Building.  Applicants will be notified of their assigned interview time.  During the interview you will have this opportunity to "sell" yourself as the most deserving person to be the 2008 Summit County Fair Prince, Princess, Junior Prince or Junior Princess.
 * Crowning of the 2008 Prince, Princess, Junior Prince and Junior Princess and presentation of their court will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd.
