King & Queen Contest
MATERIALS DUE BY: JUNE 13TH AT 4:00 P.M.

YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR THE TITLE OF KING OR QUEEN IF THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO YOU: |
- Must be 16 years of age as of January 1 of this year
- Must be a current member of a 4-H Club and/or Junior Fairboard
- Must be a member of a Summit County 4-H Club and/or Summit County Junior Fairboard for three years (including the current year)
- Applicants for King and Queen cannot be applicants of any other "royalty/naming" contests related to or held at the Summit County Fair

| DIRECTIONS: |
- Complete the Entry Form
- Paper clip a photograph of yourself to the entry form
- On a separate piece of paper, outline your involvement in the following four areas of judging
- Local 4-H Club work; county activities and clubs such as Junior Leaders, Camp Counselors, Junior Fairboard, etc.
- Fair Participation and Activities
- School Activities and/or Service, any other activities
- Return materials no later than June 13th at 4pm to: Summit County Fair, PO Box 89, Tallmadge, OH 44278
- Entries can either be dropped off in the fair office or mailed. If you mail your entry, mail it in advance of the deadline date. Entries must be received in the office by June 13th!

| AWARDS: |
- King & Queen will each receive a $250 Savings Bond and a gift
- Each individual named to the Court will receive a gift
|

| * Interviews will be held the week of June 23rd in the Administration Building. Applicants will be notified of their assigned interview time. The interview is similar to a job interview and you will have this opportunity to "sell" yourself as the most deserving person to be the 2008 Summit County Fair King or Queen. |
|
| * Crowning of the 2008 King and Queen and presentation of their court will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd following the crowning of the 2008 Prince, Princess, Junior Prince and Junior Princess. |
