4-H Bake Auction
MANDATORY PRE-REGISTRATION: JUNE 13TH AT 4:00 P.M.

HOW IT WORKS: |
|
Open to Summit County 4-H'ers and/or Summit County Junior Fairboard Members. Proceeds from the sale are distributed as follows: one-half of the sale goes to the 4-H'er or Junior Fairboard Member, the other half goes to the Scholarship Fund. Only items awarded 1st through 3rd place will be auctioned (minimum bid is $20), all other items will be sold for a flat rate of $10.00. |
SCHOLARSHIP FUND: |
| The Summit County Fairboard has enacted a Youth Scholarship fund. Each year, the Board will offer one (1), non-renewable, Scholastic Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. In addition, the fairboard will award two (2) non-animal 4-H project reimbursement up to $50 each and two (2) animal related 4-H project reimbursements up to $250 each. (Projects must be shown at fair) |
RULES: |
- Open to all Summit County 4-H'ers and/or Summit County Junior Fairboard Members
- Only one entry per individual
- Classes are divided into age groups: 7-11, 12-14, 15-19
- All entries must be accompanied by two copies of the recipe written on a 3x5 card
- All entries must be made/baked by 4-H'er or Junior Fairboard member
- All baked goods must be on disposable plates (plates/containers will NOT be returned)
- Checks will be mailed after the Summit County Fair.
- Participants should be at the auction to present their items BUT it is not mandatory
- PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY! Pre-register no later than June 13th at 4:00 pm

LOCATION and TIME: |
- DELIVER items to the Youth & Family Pavilion (Arena) on Wednesday, July 23rd between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. NO early arrivals. All assembly and paperwork must be completed BEFORE you arrive at the building. Registration form must accompany baked good item.
- Items will be judged between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. The area is closed to the public during judging. Interfering with judges during this process will be cause for elimination of item (your own, your childs, your club members etc) from competition and elimination from being sold. Items may be viewed beginning at 2:30 p.m. Auction begins at 3:00 p.m. (tenatively).

CATEGORIES (to accept item, it MUST fit into one of the listed categories) |
- Cake, Capcakes (at least 13) NO CHEESECAKES - they will NOT be accepted!!
- Fruit Pies
- Cookies - at least 25 per entry
- Brownies or Bar Cookies - must have at least 13 average sized pieces
- Candy (example: fudge, buckeyes, etc.) - must have at least 25 pieces
